Accessible Building Entrance
Universal entry to the Main Library is provided at the South (back) entrance, with power-assisted doors. Power-assisted doors are also available at the North entrance.
Virtual Tours

Elevators
Elevators in both the East and West wings provide access to all floors of the Main Library. All elevators have Braille and tactile numbering and lettering both outside and inside each elevator
Restrooms
A single use restroom is available on the second floor (West). After exiting the main elevator on 2-West, turn left, then left again, and it’s on the immediate right.
Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on the first floor (West), across from the Starbucks, and on the fourth floor (West) near the Music Library (after exiting the main elevator on 4-W, turn right and then right again).
Drinking Fountains (all are Accessible)
- 1-West across from the Starbucks. Includes bottle filling station.
- 2-West across from Digital Scholarship Lab. Includes bottle filling station.
- 4-West near the Green Room [the primary location of Symposium presentations]. Includes bottle filling station.
Personal Health
There is a personal health room available in the Library, which can be used for a range of needs, including supporting nursing and lactation. To access the room, you must obtain a key from the Patron Services desk on the first floor of the library. Reservations are not required, but the room may be reserved in advance. For more information, contact dh@msu.edu.
Reflection Room
There is a Reflection Room available on the 2nd floor East of the Library, which is available for the purpose of silent prayer or meditation.
